XXII Scientific Convention of Engineering and Architecture (CCIA 2026): International Symposium on Energy Transition

The Electric Test and Research Center (CIPEL) from Technological University of Havana ?José Antonio Echeverría? (CUJAE) and the CYTED Network for Large Scale Integration of Renewable Energy in Electricity Systems (RIBIERSE), calls all the scientifics, professionals, enterprisers and specialists to attend ENERGY TRANSITION 2026 to be held at the Melia International Hotel in Varadero, Cuba, from November 30th. to December 4th., 2026, in the frame of XXII Scientific Convention on Engineering and Architecture (CCIA 22) of CUJAE. The purpose of ENERGY TRANSITION 2026 is to offer an opportunity for engineers, researchers, academics, manufacturers and specialists related to the Electric Power Systems (EPS) and industrial and service sectors to exchange experiences and discuss about to energy transition process, seen from the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDO) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Topics.

• Energy Transition. Regulatory framework associated with the energy transition. Existing legal and technical barriers. Solutions to eliminate these barriers. The energy transition in different economic activities: electricity, tourism, transport, agriculture, industry, fishing, commerce, construction, and financial services.
• Electric Power Systems and the penetration of renewable energy sources. Impact of renewable energy sources on power systems. Use of technologies to enable the increase of renewable energy sources within power systems. Operation of generation systems with renewable energy sources. Penetration of renewable energy sources on the customer side. Demand control. Behavior of protection systems in power systems with high renewable energy penetration.
• Artificial intelligence applied to power systems. Smart grids. Digital twins. Smart meters. Smart meter data manager architecture. Smart grid-side technologies. Smart customer-side technologies.
